Day 15 – 245.5

Horrible weigh-in today. Puts me at no loss for the week because of the party I am sure. But I’m expecting that to balance out and be gone over the next few days. Still, it sucks and I felt like crap seeing it on the scale. I’m hoping to see a really good loss for next Sunday’s official weigh-in.

Food has been okay today, have kept it pretty under control. I went to the gym and put in my hour, doing 3.1 miles/3.1MPH average, though really I did 3.26 miles when you add in the 5 minute cool down it drags you through at the end of the hour. Monday I will go back in and do another 3 miles, which will meet my goal for distance for the month, and just in time.

Anyway, today’s eats.

Kraft Mac n Cheese 1 Box    15.9
Pomegranite (1)    2.0
Gym 65 Minutes    -12.1
Rice, Brown (1.5 Cups)    6.1
Chicken Breast, 5 Oz    5.0
Acorn Squash (1/2)    1.8

Total For Day    18.7 of 30

Day 14 – 242.5

Today was pretty much a disaster when it came to food. We got up, got dressed, and drove straight to a Halloween party, where I pretty much nibbled all night. It wouldn’t have been so bad if we’d eaten before heading to the party, but we didn’t. I was a 1950′s housewife for the party, and even manged to get the bf to take a decent photo of me modeling the dress. I look at big as a house, but I like the way it turned out. Full details at Sew Retro.

I did make an effort to keep track of everything I ate, but I’m sure I’m missing a few things. My attempt to just nibble fruits and veggies were derailed almost immediately, although I did steer clear of chips for the most part.

So… my Saturday weigh in was pretty good, but my eating was not. Here’s my best estimate of what went into my mouth.

Chicken Wing (1)    2.4
Chicken Drumstick (2)    3.4
Black Olives (16)    1.2
Meatballs (5)    7.5
Sobe Green Tea (2 Bottles)    10.0
Hot Dogs (2)    9.7
Cupcakes (2)    8.0
Triscuit Crackers (20)    8.5

Total For Day    50.7 of 30

By my count I still have 6.5 flex left for the week, but since my eats here are not exact, I probably don’t and maybe I even went over. I don’t really know. Tomorrow when I get up is my official weigh in, and I’ll take my waist measurement as well. I had wanted to go to the gym when we got home, but it was so late and we had an unexpected detour (I drove a friend’s car home and bf followed me) and by then I was tired.

However, tomorrow I have every intention of going in and making a good job of it, repeating Friday’s successes.

Day 13 – 243.5

The scale fluctuated back up a bit, but it seems to do that on days I don’t go to the gym or at least don’t work myself into a sweat. I’m still down by 2 pounds so far for this week though, and expecting a crazy big loss like I had last week is kind of ridiculous. 2 pounds is good!

Today has been busy, sort of. We started off the day with going to a movie, with popcorn and soda. I was careful not to eat tons of it, but I still counted what I ate as a whole bag of the stuff we have here at the house. We don’t have them add that fake butter stuff to it at the theatre, so it’s probably pretty close. The soda I let the bf have most of it too.

After that we came home and had real food. Hamburger helper, a new flavor for us.

Then I sat down at the table and spent just over an hour making bias tape for my Halloween dress. We’ve going to a party Saturday night and I am nowhere near done making it! After I finished making the bias tape, I grabbed my little Sansa Clip+ and headed out for the gym.

After yesterday’s totally lazy day of barely strolling along for half an hour, I decided to actually work a bit today. I did the full hour on the treadmill, plus the 5 minute cool-down. I averaged 3MPH, did 3.3 miles, and 65 minutes. That’s my best time/distance yet since I’ve been going. I have no doubts after today that by the end of next month I will be doing 4 miles/4MPH whenever I go in.

I’ve got 5.1 miles to go to meet my distance goal for the month. Saturday night its party time, but that leaves Sunday & Monday. I’m planning on at least 6 miles between those two days so that will bring me up to speed there. I’ve already met my time goal of 450 minutes (30 minutes per day) for this month. The weight loss goal of ten pounds I see happening next week sometime. Then I can move on to the next goal of 20 pounds.

Anyway, the day’s eats.

Pop Weaver Extra Butter Popcorn (1 Bag)    6.5
Barq’s Root Beer (12 Oz)    3.4
Hamburger Helper Italian Tomato Basil Penne (2 Cup)    13.4
Gym 65 Minutes    -12.0
Kraft Mac n Cheese 1 Box    15.9

Total For Day    27.2 of 30

Now I’m back to working on my dress for tomorrow! I’m nearly finished now, just have to finish sewing on the bias tape, add two buttons, and it’s done!

Oh, and sometime in the next few days I’ll be adding an “About Me” page to this blog. Just not sure when.

Day 12 – 242

I’m down another 1.5 pounds this morning for a total of 8.5. For some reason my period wants to come early- 2 weeks early- so my whole body feels fatigued and sore, especially my legs. I think that was the soreness I was feeling yesterday. I just didn’t recognize it as such because I wasn’t expecting it now.

I went to the gym for half an hour and took it pretty really easy. 1.32 miles in 30 minutes at a rate of 2.6MPH. Lazy, I know. Hardly any activity points for that. I just feel like crap. But that would also explain me wanting to eat almost everything in the house last night.

Eats for today.

Del Taco Del Classic Chicken Burrito (1)    13.6
1/2 Peanut Butter Sandwich    3.5
Gym 30 Minutes    -2.3
Brown Rice 1 Cup    4.0
Chicken Breast 6 Oz    7.0
Green Beans 1 Cup    0.0
Watermelon 2 Cups    1.4
Wine, Red, 2 5 Oz Glasses    4.2
Apple, 3/4    0.6

Total For Day    32.0 of 30

I usually get a chicken soft taco to go with that burrito, but I decided to skip it this time. Of course I should have gotta bf what he wanted at Del Taco, then gone to Taco Bell for me as they have lots of items with way less points- a way more filling cheesy bean and rice burrito is just over 10 points instead of this 13 and a half business. But hey, live and learn, right?

The wine was something I bought a few weeks ago but we hadn’t tried yet. It was a small bottle, so we pretty much split it. Well, he had more than I did. It was pretty good, though I’m not a big wine drinker. Lucky Duck Malbec. I mostly bought it because I liked the label. It has a picture of a duck on it. I know, great way to choose a wine right?

I also decided to stop looking at all those tiny little hundredths of a point and just round of to one decimal place. It still comes out to the same in the end. Heck, if I could figure out how to round each cell up or down to a half point, I’d be doing that too. I just read a buunch of MS help files and don’t see that that is an option. Oh well… I guess I’ll survive.

Now, I need to go work on making that bias tape.
