That new scale we got a few days ago? I returned it. Yesterday morning, when I first got up and peed, it weighed me in at 235. Okay, its a little higher than I was expecting, but it is a new scale so it may have slight differences. This morning it weighed me in at 227. That’s an 8 pound loss in 24 hours. I stepped off, and back on again. This time I weighed in at 239, a 12 pound gain. The batteries in it are new, so all I could figure is its just not reliable. I took it back to Walmart, and then went to Target, where this time I managed to find the scales all by myself. I felt completely retarded when I realized I must have walked by them four times when I went last time. Anyway, the new scale passed my first tests. I stepped on it fully clothed, with shoes. I stepped on it without my shoes, and there was about a 2 lbs loss. Then I stripped and stepped on it. There was about a 1.5 pound loss. And then I stepped on it two more times. The last three weights were identical. This one is a little more complicated than the one I got from Walmart to use the functions other than just weight but I think this one is going to prove better all the way around.

Sorry, posting a day late here… Pretend its still Tuesday!
Today was pretty good all the way around. I woke up fairly early, food was good, and I got in some exercise, and I pushed myself a little harder today. My food intake came out good, though I was a little worried at first. A peanut butter sandwich as part of breakfast doesn’t put me off to the greatest start… but oh did it taste good! Still, I managed to recover. We had hamburger helper for dinner, and I cut mine with plain rice- it tastes pretty much the same, but it lowers pretty much everything compared to the same amount of it by itself.
But now I’d like to take you back to my early teenage years for a minute. I’m going to explain why I want to be a runner and why I never ran as a kid.

Good news! I crossed a goal off of my list! This girl held a plank for 1 minute. :) Near the end I was a little shaky, but I did it! It took me three tries though. The first time just sucked. I didn’t think to take my slippers off and my feet just randomly slid out from where they were supposed to be. *splat* Try number two I made it to about 40 seconds. Third time though, that was the charm. :) And Since getting the new scale, I’m not as close to the next two weight goals as I was- it weighs me in a bit heavier. But I am still fairly close to four of them- losing 3 points off my BMI, losing 20 pounds, losing 4″ off of my waist, and wear a pattern size 22. That’s probably the order I will achieve them too. I am confident even with the scale “setback” I will reach the first three of those within three weeks. I also foresee myself reaching the “run 0.25 miles” goal in the next two weeks. I’ll get to that in a minute. Continue reading Day 135 – Goals
