Day 116

Good evening ladies & gents. I made a few tweaks to my goals page (again). I had several goals that were to be able to wear a specific pattern size, but I know most of you will have no idea what exactly that entails, so I added the pattern measurements next to each of those goals. The first of those goals, “Wear a pattern size 22″- would have me measuring in at 44-37-46. Right now I’m at 46-39-?. Two more inches to go all around. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been able to sew something without having to grade the pattern up a few sizes, and that is why I haven’t started on any of the really cool sewing projects I have just waiting to be sewn. I want to sew something for once that is just as the pattern designer intended.

Breakfast today was way late, and I took bf’s leftover chicken from last night and made two quesadillas. Unfortunately, 2 hours later I was ravenous and had a little cup of applesauce, which is nowhere near as good as my homemade applesauce is, and I was still hungry. Ugh. I vacuumed the house, and the fact I hadn’t done it in about 4 days really showed- the canister was completely full of dust, dirt, and hair. Yuck! After that I made two batches of applesauce, and packed some of it up into little single serve size Pyrex containers for Mattie’s lunches. The rest went into a big container and will probably go towards dinners the next few nights.

This shows about a minute more than I actually did as I forgot to turn it off right away when I stopped the treadmill.

Dinner was chicken sandwiches on Oroweat sandwich thins, applesauce, and asparagus. I’m thinking tomorrow night we can do sweet n sour pork- I bought some pineapple, and we’re got carrots and other veggies that should fit right into the mix. I’ve got tons of carrots. It’ll be served over plain rice, which he is not a fan of, but pooh! Most of the time I cook stuff he definitely likes- he can give in to my likes once in a while too! Maybe salads on the side, depending on how my greenery I’ve got looks.

Gym was okay today. I did 50 minutes and called it quits about then because Shana left for a bathroom break and then didn’t come back for a while so I went to investigate. Still, I did do something, which is better than nothing, and it was almost an hour. I came home after that and had some yogurt, after told me not to eat til morning if I want to shrink. Sorry, this girl needed some quick protein!

Tomorrow I will try to make better breakfast choices and hopefully not be hungry all day. I’ll also vacuum the house again to get caught back up. Certain areas I could hear the dirt and crap getting sucked into the vacuum, which always grosses me out.

  • Sweet and sour pork sounds wonderful. Do you use a recipe or just wing it?

    I love homemade applesauce the best, too. In fact, I may have to make some just because you’ve mentioned it and now I’m thinking about how good it would be to have some. :-) See what you’ve started?

      I use the Kikoman sauce packet, but I don’t follow the directions exactly. I like it to be saucier to pour over the rice, so a little more vinegar, a good amount of pineapple juice, maybe a little water added from what it calls for. Honestly, I see a recipe or packet that sounds good, and I start out following directions, and somewhere I just start winging it… lol.

      haha Homemade applesauce is just so good though!
