Today was shopping day, along with bill paying day. I got up, deleted the trash email, went outside to stand in the sun for a few minutes, and then I came back in to check my bank balance. My deposit from the other bank was in, along with some PayPal deposits as well, giving me a little extra. I went to Verizon and paid my part of the phone bill, and then I went to my car insurance and paid that. Then I reviewed my grocery list. There were a few things missing from it, and a few extras added to it, so after a few minor changes that was ready to go to. My first stop was Petsmart for dog food. Every time I buy it I am amazed at how much they freaking eat, and we’ve started feeding Sashi even more because she’s a little thinner than I’d like her to be. Ugh. We already spend $50 on dog food every 3 weeks. I don’t want to think about having to spend more, and I’m not going to start feeding them a lower quality dog food either.
Then I went to WalMart. I got everything I had on my list and needed, plus yogurt, which I hadn’t put on my list and we eat a lot of. I also grabbed some “light” bologna as I wanted sandwiches and it was pretty cheap. Doesn’t taste as good as some others but its not bad either. Then I made my way to the checkout. I spent $42.49 total.

Do you see that? a 3.1 pound loss for last week, and 1/2″ of of my waist is gone too! After all the eating out and the big steak dinner we had last night, I was expecting a gain, not a loss, and definitely not this big of a loss. Needless to say, I am thrilled to see it. It also means I can reset my ticker to the next goal of 30 pounds, and cross off the lose 25 pounds total goal from my monthly goals. I’ve got today and tomorrow left to meet the last two- I know I won’t lose another half an inch between now and then, but maybe I can do the sit-ups. I’ll have to give those a try; either get my butt to the gym to use their bench or else get Mattie to hold my feet for me. Anyway, 3, almost 4, out of 5 isn’t so bad.
I totally overslept (as in right through my multiple alarms) and missed taking Mattie lunch at work today. As a result, he came home starving, headachey, and pissy because he basically went all day without eating. I grabbed a box of beef flavored rice mix and a pound of hamburger and threw it together, and he ate all but about 1.5 cups of it. And of course I feel like an ass for starving him all day.

Posting a little behind here, as its Sunday and this is or Friday & Saturday. It seems like this whole week we’ve been in and out of the house. Friday was ending up hanging out with David & Tracy for most of the night, and we went out to an Asian buffet. I tried not to make too much of a pig of myself, but who knows. I’m probably under-estimating what I ate there anyway.
The food was pretty good though, even though the cheesecake they had as one of the desserts was below mediocre. Pudding is always good though. After that, I was expecting the scale to to be up, and it was come Saturday morning.
