Day 228

I am now officially 30 pounds down & working towards my next goal, which is to lose 6 points off of my BMI! I reset my ticker to reflect that, and it looks like the only goal I won’t make this month is the lose 8″ total off of my waist one. I can live with that.

I did some more beading today and I also vacuumed the house. It’d been about 10 days since I did last time, and thanks to Lucy’s heavy shedding, I had to empty the canister twice and probably could have gone over everything again and emptied it a third time. Then I set up all of my transfers for the month for money. Did I put away the huge pile of laundry I did the other day? No, not yet. Tomorrow!

I also spent some time working on my beading. I worked out the cow pattern I created and it turned out really cute. I also did one half of a pair of tropical fish which turned out really well but was incredibly time consuming to make because of the complexity of the patterns and colors. I’m taking a break from that and will make its mate tomorrow afternoon. I’ll hopefully be able to get a good photo of the tropical fish earrings as well when I finish them as they are going to be really, really pretty.

Friday The Connoisseur is going out of town for the weekend and I’m taking care of her animals. Four dogs, three cats, three horses, two goats, a rat, and three snakes. Everyone is easy to take care of, assuming her snakes don’t try to eat me when I make sure they have water. Eek!

I also went by the clinic to make an appointment to get a new birth control prescription in a few weeks. After three weeks of calling them several times a day and no one ever answering the phone I gave up and drove over there instead. I have no idea how it is they never answer the phone no matter when or how many times I call, but its frustrating as hell because even though the clinic is just a few blocks away, I do not want to have to go in to do something I should be able to do over the phone.

Food was decent today. Calories were spot on, fat was a little high. I blame my sudden desire to eat nothing but salads lately with too much fatty dressing. Here’s today’s eats.

I do apologize for the lack of quality posts lately- I’ve honestly just been so busy with trying to get up a good varied inventory for the festival that I’ve hardly had time to think about anything else. Being busy (when I’m not watching Mad Men!) does have a perk- I’m not thinking about stuffing my face when I’m concentrating on stitching a new pattern or trying to design a new one, or trying to do a little housework here and there.

Saturday night we will be going out to Tracy & David’s for the Tacky Tiki party and I can’t wait! I probably will eat too much, though I’m not worried about heavy alcohol consumption- 2 drinks is generally my limit at most parties and I usually just drink water instead of any alcohol at all. I’ve got my Bermuda shorts, my tank top, my tacky homemade polyester Hawaiian shirt (its a little small so wearing it open over another shirt) and my insanely large red plastic lobster earrings. :)
