Have I mentioned here that it’s hot? Like really mind-bogglingly hot? This is the desert, so we’re used to hot. But we’re also used to dry. The last week or so we’ve had more or less constant 10% to 12% humidity, which I’m sure is nothing to those of you who actually have moisture in the air on a regular basis, but to us, its unbearable. I’m typing right now at 3:30pm, and the little weather widget on my desktop says its 108° outside. I went back into my craft room a bit ago, and it has to be at least 95° in there, since I have a fan but no actual air. Its tempting to try to save up a little money and pick up a cheaper window A/C unit, but by the time I’d have money for one, it’d be winter and I’d need a heater. Maybe I should get a heater now and a cooler in a few months when the weather is cooler and maybe prices will be lower buying off-season.
I was able to pick up my Rxs yesterday though they owe me some that I’ll have to go back in for within the next few weeks. And Monday I have an appointment at the dentist which I am not looking forward to at all.
I normally don’t mind the dentist, but the last time I was in, they told me i had periodontal disease and my teeth were going to fall out. It was all I could do not to cry and I left in a hurry, not even getting my one cavity filled. That was about 2 maybe 2 1/2 years ago. I know that one cavity is worse and I’m pretty sure I have at least one more, and my teeth are in desperate need of a cleaning. Of course what I hate the most is not having dental insurance that covers anything more then cleanings (Thank you California!) and not really having money to pay it myself. I have to use my Care Credit line, but at least then I can make small manageable payments, and there’s a certain number of months dependent on the amount billed that it goes interest-free. That’s helpful.
Food was okay yesterday. The ramen was not a good choice- it never is- and I would have been within my goals for the day if I hadn’t decided to eat a small avocado while I was making dinner. But it could have been a lot worse- I had been contemplating salad too, but the dressing really would have put me over the top. I can eat my salads dressing-free, but I really only like to if there’s a lot of extra stuff in them besides lettuce/spinach/whatever greens. Here’s the eats. =]

Today was better all the way around. All my numbers looked good, and though I was a little hungry at the end of the day (we had dinner at 4pm for some weird reason) it wasn’t awful. Here’s the damages.

See? Not so bad! I’m confident I will have a decent loss on Sunday morning as long as I don’t screw up tomorrow. And I am so insanely close to my next two goals, and not that far from re-joining Club ONEderful too! Another pound and a half or so and I’ll put up new body silhouettes too.
I’ve noticed lately I’ve been making a lot of two day posts. Its hard to post everyday sometimes, and sometimes I just forget until I’m about to go to bed or I’m drifting off to sleep. Or maybe I remember, but its when I’m away from home and I won’t get home until its too late to do anything. I feel like I’m shirking this here by not getting my posts up daily, but I’m doing the best I can most of the time.
I made a few organizational tweaks to the blog today. I eliminated a few tags, and consolidated a few others. Exercise, Gym, and Fitness are now all under Fitness. I also removed a few tags that only had one usage and I don’t see myself really using them again. I’d like to pare things down a bit more but I can’t really see where to do it so it stays for now. Maybe dump my Amazon.com tag into Shopping? I’m pretty sure most of those are under that tag too anyway.
