Friday Day 392 Food Diary

This will be another short and sweet post, as in really just the food diary. Once again, I woke up 4am by myself for absolutely no reason that I could think of whatsoever. I did some reading first thing this morning, then had some oatmeal for breakfast, and did some poking around the internet. Then I watched the most recent episode of American Horror Story and went grocery shopping. I got a few extras we wouldn’t normally have, plus what I hope was all we actually needed, and stocked up on a few things we use often. Then I came home, put it all away, had lunch, and watched some Castle. I meant to take a nap but I never got to it, and as a result, I’m pooped now.

Food was okay today. I went over on calories by about 400, but my other numbers were okay. I did manage to get in a fruit and a veggie though, which if you’ve read me for long, you’ll know I don’t really like most fruits. I love cantaloupe, and I will eat apples, peaches, and oranges (sometimes), but overall I just don’t care for them. But right now I have a ton of persimmons and I’ve been placing them on the stove while I bake to heat them so they’ll actually ripen. Its just been to cool here and they will literally keep for weeks at this time of year and still be rock hard and awful to eat.

We had spinach (also form the produce box) and pasta along with bakes chicken legs. I picked up a package of 13 huge chicken drumsticks for $5.00 today at Food4Less. Unfortunately I’m kind of retarded when it comes to cooking meat with bones in it and I tried to feed us almost completely raw chicken. I had to put them back into the oven for another 20 minutes before we could actually eat them.

Its not as bad as it could be, and I’ve been really on track almost all week. I’m not going to kick myself over today. Tomorrow I’m going to do some more reading, and vacuum the house. The week is almost up and I still haven’t done it. And on that note, good-night friends. :sleep:
