Weigh and Measure Sunday Day 401 Food Diary

weigh and measure

Even though the scale has me at 0.3 pounds heavier than I was on the 4th, I am feeling less discouraged because the scale moved, and it moved down. I’ve been bouncing around the same pound for the last three weeks, and I’m pretty sure I know why. Sneaking a nibble here and there and not recording it adds up, and not in a good way. I know better, and still I was doing it without even thinking about it. Last week I did not do that at all, and was overall a lot better on how I ate. Considering I have a goal to be in ONEderland by the new year, I really need to get my ass back in gear and do this right! Thanksgiving, which we will celebrate twice, and Christmas, which will be at least twice, will be days that really test me. We have a huge 14 pound turkey for us here at home on Thanksgiving, and my mom is making both turkey and ham for her Thanksgiving dinner. Mattie’s also talking about doing something different for Christmas- one of his considerations is a homemade lasagna, which while I love, its also pretty much guaranteed I will gain 3 pounds that night because I cannot stop shoveling it in my mouth. So we’ll see what he decides to prepare and hope for the best.

Food was good today. I’m a little hungry now that its the end of the day, but not going to eat anything because I’ve done so good and I don’t want to ruin that. All we’ve got in the house that’s light anyway is fruit, and I had a pear earlier. Not really feeling the fruit any more today. W went out for dinner tonight, and knowing where we were going ahead of time, I was able to research the menu and make good choices ahead of time and stay on track. We went to Red Robin, and while normally I’m all about the meat, I had the Gardenburger, a side of black beans, and a side salad with balsamic dressing. Mattie ordered their Scorpion wings as an appetizer, and I ate one of those. That one piece of chicken was the only meat I ate today and I don’t really miss it. I wish I would have gotten some more protein in there somewhere, but I won’t die from that.

Here’s today’s food diary.

After we came home from dinner, we put on The Amazing Spiderman, which was so much better than the other three Spiderman movies combined. Everything about it was better, and for once it was a movie we both enjoyed, which is amazing because most of the time we can’t agree of a movie.

Tomorrow I will be finishing up the beading commission I’m working on for Tracy, and then start on a few new things I’ve worked up. I’m not sure if I will list the new ones I do on Etsy or just put them directly in my shop on the Kittyloaf Designs site.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I’m of for the night, and hopefully to sleep soon. See you tomorrow!

I think if you set your mind to it & work hard, you can reach your goal by January. It’s .9 of a pound a week to get there. You’ve got this! I know this time of the year is especially difficult but do what you can to remember your goals.

I know technically it is totally reachable, but the holidays are not generally working in my favor. I’m going to try to have some healthier, lighter options for Thanksgiving and if I have t bring something to my mom’s when we go to her house try then too. Thanksgiving always seems to be a major carb fest with some turkey and ham tossed on the side.
