Monday Day 409 & Tuesday Day 410 Food Diary

Hello friends! The holiday gain was gone this morning, plus a little more. Amazing since I feel like I’ve been eating an insane amount of pie since Thanksgiving. As of tonight though, there is only one piece of pie left, and Mattie will most likely have it. Food has been good the last two days, mainly because I’ve stayed busy with crafting projects. I’ve been working on my video game themed earrings, and now have the 1-up mushrooms, Mario question boxes, Kirby, and tonight I finished up Megaman. I’m not sure which will be next, but I should probably finish the skull set I did one of months ago and never made a mate for.

I’ve also been good about setting and reaching small goals the last few days, and where I didn’t complete a task I had intended, I did complete something else in its stead. Staying busy has kept me form thinking about food for much of the day, and if I’m not thinking about it, I rarely get hungry. Tomorrow I am going to do some sewing, the laundry, vacuum the house, and some beading, probably in the late afternoon/early evening when Mattie is out running his Wednesday errands.

I finally remembered to call and make an appointment for a PAP in a few weeks so I can get a new Rx for my birth control pills, and I need to start planning out some Christmas themed items for the sale on the 9th. What sale? Tracy of Art Resurrected and I will be doing the Small Town Christmas event in Rosamond on the 9th from 9am to 3pm at Crazy Otto’s diner. The space fee is very low, so even if I only sell one pair of earrings, I can break even. Of course I’m hoping to do a lot more than that!

I’ve also run into an interesting problem with my Kittyloaf Designs shop. Since installing the SEO URLs 5 and also adding a lot of new items over the last week, I’ve suddenly started getting a problem where I get an internal server error. After checking out the shop software, and contacting tech support, it was determined that the shop is actually pulling a lot of RAM due to the suddenly increased traffic, which causes the error. So, because my shop is getting a lot of traffic, my wimpy bottom of the barrel hosting plan can’t handle it. Win-lose. Unfortunately there’s not much I can do about it right now, so just have to kind of ignore it for now and hope all these new views and people using the tell a friend module turn into some good sales despite the issues.

MOnday morning I went grocery shopping, and picked up 7 pounds of pork loin for $0.98 a pound! I would have gotten two packages if I had another $7 but I didn’t. Too bad because pork is one of those things we love but don’t eat a lot of.

Anyway, enough rambling. Here’s Monday’s food diary.

After five days of eating turkey, we used the last of it in the soup I made Monday night. We were not sad to see it go. It was a delicious bird, but five days of anything gets old.Tomorrow I am hoping to bake some squash that’s been in the fridge for a while and have it with dinner. I’ve got an acorn squash, a delicata squash, and a small butternut squash.

Here’s Tuesday’s food diary. I didn’t do quite as well today, but it still wasn’t bad.

You’ve already lost what you gained over Thanksgiving? That is awesome! You wasted no time!! I like your idea of keeping busy to avoid food. I bet doing crafts and things with your hands is very helpful in that regard. Just looking at the bottom of the page with your etsy items I can see you have to put in a lot of work. Will check out our shop!

Yeah. I was shocked to see it go too as I really overate those two days. Eating light the next few days really did help.

Staying busy is as good as an appetite suppressant as coffee. When I’m working on something, I get obsessive, so end up completely absorbed for hours. The next thing I know its dinner time. :)
