Today we had our produce delivery day, but it didn’t come until almost 1pm, which was odd. I was starting to wonder if it was coming at all when I finally got the knock at the door. In the box were the normal assortment of veggies, and oranges. Lots of oranges. You’ll see why I make that distinction further down. By the time the delivery came, I was nearly done with my Grey’s Anatomy marathon (day 2) and ready to go for my walk. First though, I ate 2 tiny oranges, which i counted as one normal orange on my tracker.
I put the veggies (and oranges!) away, packing the fresh spinach into a zip lock bag and noting there were two tiny butternut squashes in there that I will probably bake tomorrow and eat for lunch. Then I strapped on my HRM, put on my shoes, grabbed my MP3 player and headed out. I got maybe 1/4 mile before I realized just how congested I am today because I was almost breathing like someone with emphysema but I slogged on, doing 1.8 miles before strolling back up the driveway. My heart rate never got real high, but it was almost painful to breathe at times. I’m apparently a glutton for punishment because I never had any real thoughts of turning back early. I did get stopped by multiple chatty neighbors on the way, which is normally kind of nice but I wasn’t feeling too chatty today so it was a little annoying to be honest. I came home, and I ate two more little oranges. Yeah, that made four oranges.
Dinner was tacos drizzled with my new-found love, Thousand Island dressing. It was good, but I found myself wishing I had used the tortilla pans to bake them into bowls instead. Dessert was one of the tiny lemon pound cakes I made the other day. Later on Mattie decided he wanted to snuggle and watch some Venture Bros. with me, where I ate two more tiny oranges, and a yogurt. I’m pretty sure I’m not peeing orange juice for the rest of the night, but they were so insanely good, and while as a general rule I don’t really like fruit, I cannot get enough of good oranges. I think you knew that by now though, right?
I don’t think I mentioned this but I started using a rounding function on my tracker sheet- the individual cells might not always add up to the end total because they are rounded, and the end total is found by adding the real numbers and rounded it, so there’s sometimes a difference on +/- 1, like there is today.
I don’t have much else to say tonight. I ate too many oranges and I will probably eat too many oranges again tomorrow, and at that rate they will all be gone by Thursday night. Here’s today’s orange-filled food diary.

I packed an orange with my lunch two days ago. It’s still sitting on my desk. Now please pass the lemon pound cakes… (plural) O_O

Eat that thing already! Oranges are wonderful! LOL
If you click the “Deb’s Cooking” link in my second menu, the recipe for the pound cake is posted there. For some reason they taste even better if you refrigerate them overnight. :)
