Saturday Day 470 Food Diary (And Why Mattie is Awesome!)

Let’s start with the end of week numbers. I had to guess a little for Saturday’s tallies, but I did my best, though considering how screwed up some info on the internet can be, who knows how good my best really is. Either way, I ended up using a good portion of my extra P+ on the last day of the week, late at night, the day before weigh in. Not the best idea but I honestly don’t care and I’ll tell you why. First though, numbers.

I think I still have quite a few of my weeklies left, but I’m disappointed in the number of APs I earned and wish my averages would have been more like 33 or 34 P+ per day. Still, we did go out Saturday night and there were a lot of unplanned for things going on.

My birthday has been a sore sport with me for years. To me, its been a marker of how much I haven’t accomplished, and a long list of failures on my part. Its sad and depressing and I cry a lot in the month of January. Add in that in the past whenever I’ve tried to plan something for my birthday, no one has shown up for me. If it was a group thing, as I have two friends with birthdays a week after mine, people showed up for them, but no one ever came for me. With that, I’ve just felt more than ever on my birthday that no one cared about me. ;-(

For months I told Mattie I wanted to do something for my birthday. He pretty much blew me off and ignored my requests. I went to bed a few weeks ago crying because it was almost my birthday and I felt so lonely and I was upset because I just wanted a nice dinner with a few friends and maybe do something fun afterwards. And after that I was mad at him off and on because I felt like he was spoiling what I wanted. xD

Fast forward to about two weeks ago. Mattie suggests we go out to dinner at The Thai on the Saturday before my birthday. I love The Thai, love the people who work there, love the food. Its probably our favorite place to eat and we go there for most special occasions. I agree to the idea, and the time passes.

Now its Saturday. Its 5pm. I’m hungry.

Me: When are we going to eat? I’m sooooo hungry baby!
Mattie: At 6. We’re eating at 6.
Me: But I’m hungry nooooow…..
Mattie: Good. You’ll be hungry then. We’re eating at 6.

I should have known something was up by then but I didn’t. At about 6pm, we hopped in the Jeep and drove up to The Thai. We walked into the back room where we always sit and the first thing I saw was Jami and Jason. Oh! How funny! They’re eating here too tonight! Then I saw Tracy and David were sitting there too. This is funny! We’re all here. But I still didn’t get it. Then Mattie sits down at their table and I did a mental face palm. Doh! They’re here for me! :woot:

There were some presents (cute fabrics and shiny sparkly beads!) and then we got to looking at the menus and dinner commenced. We ended up ordering appetizers of golden fried shrimp, and BBQ chicken, and I had sweet n sour pork for my entree. I also had a Thai iced coffee, and at the end, the waitress brought me out 2 scoops of their homemade coconut ice cream which was so rich and so good. She even stuck a candle in it. hehe :p The whole meal was really good, and fun.

Afterwards we decided to drive out to Jami and Jason’s and play some games and hang out more. Jason made us his yummy s’mores shots, and we each had one. We ended up spending hours playing Cards Against Humanity, which might be the funniest game I have ever played. We went through the whole deck of answers with the 6 of us playing, an there were some question/answer combos that made us think of people we knew, which made it even funnier. I’d seen @wilw talk about it but I really didn’t really know what it was all about. I’m glad Tracy got it and we got to play it. :)

The whole night was really, really fun, and I had a great time. I am so glad to have spend the evening with friends and shared some laughs and good food. Thank you guys for someone and thank you Mattie for setting it up and keeping it a secret. Best. Boyfriend. Ever.

Anyway, Saturday’s food. I added in everything the best I could except for a tiny (we’re talking maybe 1/4 oz) bit of cheese, 2 Triscuit crackers, and the s’mores shot. I tried to over estimate the other stuff a bit, but who knows really. Here’s the food diary.

Debra I am glad you had a great time! Matt sure was sneaky about it and made sure no one would tell you anything. LOL
We must play that game again, David just ordered one of the booster packs.
Wishing you both the best! :)

I should have picked up that something was going on when he said we’d eat at six… days in advance. Then when we said “Because we always eat at six” I should have been suspicious instead of thinking he’s bad at telling time all of a sudden because we almost always eat at five… lol.

It was such a great night and I am so glad he chose you guys to share it with me! And definitely looking forward to playing again!

The more I look at that fabric (the cotton one) with the doggies on it the more I think I need a new purse! Its so cute and there’s just the right amount of fabric. Hmmm… :)
