I’ve got a rant today. A few days ago, I sold an item from my shop. It was a low-dollar item that after shipping and PayPal fees come out, I make very little profit on it unless the item is purchased with other items. This one was purchased alone. I packed it up, shipped it out, and sent the buyer the tracking number. This morning I woke up to a very rude email from the buyer saying I sent her the wrong item. The word “stupid” was used several times. I went to my shop’s page where the item was ordered, and double checked the code to make sure that the wrong item was not added to the cart somehow. It was not. I checked the email sent to me from my shop notifying me of the purchase. I went to PayPal and looked at the invoice to further verify the item that was ordered and sent out. I had sent her the correct item, but when looking at the web page, I saw she had added the item below the one she said she wanted to the cart and failed to check her shopping cart to see that she had added the right item. I politely emailed the buyer to explain what had happened, and she then decided to start lying to me about her PayPal invoice showing an entirely different item (this was not the case unless PayPal has started sending out two completely different invoices to buyer and seller with different items listed and I know that’s not true) and that I needed to immediately send her the correct item because this was my fault. At this point I was done dealing with her and had no desire to help her because of her bad attitude and lying about the entire thing. I told her I would be more than willing to sell her the other item, but I would not be sending her the item free because she was the one in error, not me. I got an even nastier email in response to that. While I am glad to make a sale, I do not need customers that are going to abuse me for something completely out of my control. If she had just emailed politely and said “Hi. I placed this order but ordered the wrong item, can I exchange it for this item?” I probably would have worked with her to make her happy.
I also had a moment of OMG WTFing hell this morning. I got up, and peed, and noticed my pee was kind of dark, but figured it was because I didn’t drink much yesterday. I didn’t think much of it. Later on I had some coffee, and had to go to the bathroom again. I peed as well as had a BM, and when I wiped, the toilet paper was red. Bright freaking red. From both ends. I was kind of freaked out, but it wasn’t until I stood up and saw everything in the bowl looked like it was made with melted down red crayons that I kind of panicked. I dabbed at myself again to see if I was bleeding. I flushed. I flushed again. I wondered briefly if I has some weird infection or if I was going to suddenly bleed out and die. Then I remember something that turned out to make it all better. We had beets for dinner last night- like an entire bowlful of beets each. I immediately Googled if beets turn you poo red and much to my relief, the internet if full of people talking about bright red beet poo and pee! :woot: Still, that was the weirdest thing I have ever seen in the toilet bowl, and I’m not sure I really want to see it again.
Food was pretty good today, if you just count the P+ I used. I petty much did not eat all day until dinner, save from some fruit and a lot of coffee. At dinner I made a shepherd’s pie using turkey, mixing the veggies in with the mashed potatoes. It was really good, but it was literally almost my entire day’s worth of P+ in one swoop. Later on Mattie wanted ice cream, and I figured I might as well. I had a cup of it, and counted my P+. I’m 3 P+ into my weeklies for the day, but if I count by the week, I still have 81 P+ left with only one day remaining. Most days this week I haven’t eaten all of my points and only two days I think did I go over my allotment for the day. Here’s today’s food diary.
|Coffee w/Milk & Sugar||1|
|Tuna w/Italian Dressing||2|
|Shepherd’s Pie (Turkey)||22|
|Dreyer’s Slow Churned Caramel Delight Ice Cream (1 Cup)||7|
Mattie has some car work for this weekend, and I am hoping to get all or at least most of my current book finished. Its proving to be really fascinating, and what’s interesting is how many cultures around the world don’t even have words for husband and wife, let alone any similar concept as to what we call marriage. Its also interesting how societies that place a higher value on women tend to have more open sexuality in their cultures, and less fighting and violence.
Not a lot else to say, so wrapping up to go back to my book. See you all tomorrow!
