Thursday Day 510 Food Diary

I’m going to start today’s post off with the most awkward and embarrassing video you will probably ever see, but I wanted to say thanks, and I wanted to make it personal. The video itself is pretty quick and I hope you can all see it and hear it and whatnot- I tested it on several different browsers and it appears to be working. However, due to WordPress’ lack of a native video embedded, I can’t guarantee it will actually work. I tried a few plug ins that were supposed to embed the video from my uploads folder but they don’t seem to be reliable. Its one of the few things WordPress really fails on, but its potentially a big fail.I wanted to avoid uploading to YouTube but ended up having to do it anyway. Maybe I’ll do videos at the end of the month to review my goals and progress. We’ll see. I still find this to be very awkward.

I’m kind of kicking myself for cancelling my Visa when I did. I know either way it had to be done but I am really tight on money this month and next, with extra expenses coming in like Mattie wanting to order a mess of meat from Omaha Steaks (we have a coupon), the extra bill for Care Credit from the dentist, our anti-virus program needing a new license next month (yes I know there are free options but I’ve had notoriously bad luck using them) and I really won’t be able to breathe easy until May I think, though I should have an extra $27 to go towards bills next month thanks to a survey company. I’ve never actually had a check from this company, so I’m not counting on it, but chances are good it will come through as expected.

Food today was pretty good. I started off with the normal cottage cheese and coffee, with no idea what I was making for dinner. I literally have a ton of chicken and not much else in the freezer, because once again I bought chicken multiple weeks in a row without checking to see if we actually needed chicken. Eventually I realized that I was going to be completely on my own for dinner as Mattie was taking his dad to a doctor’s appointment and they would most likely be eating out. That’s good because I can eat whatever the hell I want, but bad too because I hate cooking for just me, which usually means a lot of aimless nibbling instead of actually eating. I ended up fixing some red beans and rice out of a box, adding some sour cream, and hours later heading back for some fruit, celery, and some more cottage cheese. I stayed within my limits, but it wasn’t easy thanks to making so-so choices pretty much all day.

I also finished reading 50 Shades book one and actually want to read the next one, but it will have to wait until probably next month or the month after because as I said up there, I am gonna be super strapped for cash for a while here.

I did get hold of some (new to me) Regina Spektor today and spend about two hours laying down in the dark listening to her. It was a nice time out for me to take. :)

On that note, I’m going to sign off and head to bed.

      Thanks Soya! I think I recorded it like ten times before finally just saying the heck with it! LOL If I do another one later maybe it will be better. :)

    Good to “see & hear” you Deb! I have the 50 Shades books if you want them in mobi format. If you want to read it on your computer, all you would have to do is download the free Kindle app and you can read them on there.

      Thanks! And thanks for the offer, but I really prefer my paper books! LOL Reading on the screen just isn’t the same (nor does it feel right) to me! I’ve got a gift card coming from Amazon this week so will probably order the next one when I get it. :)
