Ten Questions

  1. Describe the kind of home you would live in if money were no object. I would live in a huge ranch-style house on a fair-sized plot of land (say 20 acres) with no near-by neighbors. The entire front wall of my house would be windows, floor to ceiling. Everything inside would be black and stainless steel.
  2. Are you more conservative in your actions or more rebellious? Conservative. I’m about as meek and mild as a person can be when it comes to actions, though I have some pretty rebellious thoughts and ideas.
  3. Would you go to Mars even if it meant you could never return to Earth? Nope. I’m terrified of airplanes- you think I’d get in a space shuttle?!?!?
  4. Name one song that makes you want to dance every time you hear it. Um… Honestly? Nothing. I hate dancing worse than anything else I have ever done in my life. Nothing makes me want to dance.
  5. Share one thing that you wish you could go back and do differently in your life. I would have learned to stand up for myself. I still can’t do this most of the time.
  6. Share at least one accomplishment that people wouldn’t expect you to be proud of. Hmmm… How about one people wouldn’t expect in general? I can untangle a mess of goat kids still in the uterus to enable a normal birth scenario. :)
  7. Describe one delicious thing that you’ve eaten lately. We had hamburgers tonight. They are one of my favorite (though most basic) foods and we rarely eat them.
  8. If you had a theme song that would play every time you entered a room, which song would you choose? Gah! I have no idea. Something ridiculous, I’m sure.
  9. Had technology enhanced your life, or has it over complicated your life? I think in some ways it has helped me but in other ways its hurt me. I have always had serious difficulty in communicating with other people, and it has gotten worse the older I get, and I (more than) suspect I am agoraphobic, so being able to hide behind tech has made it easier for me to hide from the things that scare me, but still be able to communicate when I need to. Mostly I think its just acted as a crutch to let me not have to face my fears every day. :ermm:
  10. If you could get paid to do any job, which job would you choose? I’d be doing the same things I do now, but actually making good money doing them. For those who don’t know, I am a graphic artist and jewelry artist. You can see samples of all my work at

Now it’s your turn to answer this week’s questions! Don’t forget to come back and link up in the comments. Happy Monday, friends!!!!

I totally agree on standing up for yourself. I have always had problems doing that.:( I thought I would have gotten better at it as I’ve gotten older, but I haven’t.

    1. Deb (Post author)

Yeah if anything, I think I might be worse at it now than when I was a kid. :(

  2. Ayana

Hey! Stopping by from FMM. Love your answer to #3. Flying is not my favorite form of travel, so there’s no way I’d take a shuttle to Mars. LOL!

    1. Deb (Post author)

At least I’m not the only one!

  3. Julie Ann

What fun answers! Your answer to number 6 is crazy — I hardly understand it! LOL!

Whoops! Just aught a typo in it! I grew up on a goat farm, so birthing tangled baby goats is something I learned to do early on. :) They normally have 2 or 3 at a time, and often all those legs and heads get tangled up inside.

  4. Laura

Totally agree with number 5 and I still have a hard time standing up for myself. Cute blog!

    1. Deb (Post author)

Thanks! I am seeing its a more difficult thing for more people than I would have thought.

  5. Kenlie

    #3 made me laugh…too cute. :)

    1. Deb (Post author)

LOL Glad to give you a laugh!

Stopping by from FMM. I can related to hiding behind technology. Although I think I am a better communicator now than when I was younger, I find I have less anxiety when conversing with people online.
    Have a great week!

    1. Deb (Post author)

I need to work on doing more of my communication in person or even on the phone, but it can be so hard and most days I actively avoid making the effort.

I always love your answers to these things. I am with you on the dancing. Dancing, me no likey!

    1. Deb (Post author)

Yeah, I have never been a fan of dancing. It just makes me feel extremely awkward at best.

Even though I am very outgoing and loud I have a hard time standing up for myself. Some days I feel like I can’t say no, or I want to tell off someone who has been awful to me but I don’t. Why? because I am a sissy who would rather not hurt others.
I enjoyed reading these. the Goats! WAO!!!

My problem (I think anyway) is I have very low self-esteem and I always worry that everything I say is going to be “wrong” even when its an opinion. Oddly enough, that is why I love blogging so much- it gives me the voice I don’t otherwise have.

The goats… I grew up on a farm. hehe

I have a hard time standing up for myself, also. In particular, at work. I’m the new kid on the block and whenever I have to stand up for myself, my work or my ideas, I get REALLY flustered. A lot of women I know are good at standing up for themselves in professional situations, but I’m still working on it. Baby steps.

I answered Kenlie’s FMM questions, too!:)

    1. Deb (Post author)

I’ve always had an awful time standing my ground in work situations. Its so hard to have your say but not upset the wrong people sometimes.

  10. Kenlie

I definitely could NOT do #6! Wow!

    1. Deb (Post author)

LOL Its not something I would have learned by choice. But I watched my mom do it for years, and there were times no one else was available and the kids just could not come out normally on their own, so I had to help. Its a weird sensation, having your hand up in their business! lol
