I realized after changing the battery in my Polar last night that it had been quite a while since I had updated my personal data in the watch. I am literally 15 pounds lighter than the last time I used this thing, so I’m thinking after seeing today’s calorie burn, yesterday’s was probably not really as high as it said due to my profile being off by quite a bit. What was today’s workout, you ask? I gave the Pilates for Dummies video a try, and while it does walk you through I think 18 different exercises, its not a big workout, and its boring. There’s just too much time in between each chapter where she explains and demonstrate the next exercise to make me feel like its really effective. As soon as I finished that video, I loaded the one I did yesterday (Jillian Michael’s Yoga Meltdown Level 1) and did it again. I actually made an attempt at the camel pose (but only the first of two times) and held it for most of the duration, but the second time it came around I just couldn’t hold it. I also (again) skipped the one leg standing poses completely, but I think I did everything else though some things were modified and that included most of the long holds of different postures. I look forward to the day I can actually do a push-up, but I don’t see that day being soon. Working out is awesome, and I’m glad I made the effort.
Food was good today, and I finished right on target, without eating my APs. I feel especially good about this as I’ve been doing so badly lately, and I actually caught myself thinking of doing another workout later this evening when I was bored but I didn’t because oh am I sore! Here’s today’s food diary.
