Saturday Day 581 That’s NOT A Wrap!

I know Saturdays are supposed to be the weekly wrap-up day, but I can’t very well give you a weekly wrap-up when I really don’t know what I’ve eaten this week, and its not all for lack of trying, and that’s why this post is not a wrap. After eating out twice this week, we headed over to Beth & Dan’s to hang out with them, Tracy, David, and Tre and Tracy was so wonderful to bring this dip. This stuff is nothing short of an instant artery clogger, and it is insanely, ridiculously, dangerously good. So good that the three of us girls devoured way too much of it before demanding the guys take it away from us. If you don’t believe me just read the recipe. Add in the Del Taco we shared out, the bread the dip was spread on, and the leftover mac n cheese I had for breakfast and I am pretty sure I not only killed what was left of my week, but I annihilated it in one swoop. This has not been my finest week for eating- far from it. But tomorrow is a new week, and I don’t foresee any reasons for me to get seriously off track again, so back to business as usual.

I did do a little around the house today, though not much. I managed to get the laundry done, and I finished and washed my new shirt. I had to wash it before I could wear it because the fabric is a very light cream and blue plain, and during the cutting and pinning phases, Sashi “helped” me by walking all over it with her dirty paws, making it more of a icky brown color, which I did not want to wear as it was. Yuck! Thanks, dog! But now its finished, and I love it. It turned out really well. You can see photos of it here.

That’s all I’ve got for today. Look for an on-track post tomorrow with good food choices and none of this crazy junk that’s been everywhere this week!

Friday Day 580 Just Popping In!

I know I didn’t post yesterday, and today you’re not getting the whole deal either as I’m just popping in. This week has been pretty disastrous on food, but I know whose fault that is- mine. I had the chance to make very good choices when we went out on Tuesday night, but I decided not to, and just ordered whatever looked good instead. Wednesday I did good, and stayed on track, and actually finished the day under my limits. But Thursday we went out to dinner with Geoff and their mom, and due to issues happening while she was in transit, we didn’t eat until almost 9pm. By then I said the hell with trying to pick something friendly, and I ordered a big ass burger, fries, and had raspberry iced tea to drink. I honestly didn’t even try to count Points+ for that meal and didn’t bother to record it in any way. I know it ate up a huge number of P+ and if I show any loss at all this Sunday I will be shocked, but it won’t be any mystery why, and I know who is to blame when it happens.

Today wasn’t much better on food, though I did track and record roughly 40 Points+ for the day. I say roughly because I am guessing at how much cheese I put in the mac n cheese- I neglected to weigh it after I cut it. I did at least get some fruits and veggies in today, with an apricot, a peach, and some broccoli in tonight’s dinner. I wanted to make something that was both quick, and comforting as Mattie had a long (and rough) day today with having to commute down to LA for something for work, and his ride as passenger was nerve-wracking for him and he came home far from calm and relaxed.

Weigh and Measure Sunday Day 575

wm-05122013This week’s official weigh and measure was pretty much a flop. I used all my weeklies on Friday & Saturday, so the scale was way up today compared to only a few days ago. Not too pleased with that, but it is what it is. I did it, I get to live with it, right? :blink: Still, there was a loss, so its not all bad. I’m pretty sure the scale will be down quite a bit in the morning though, or at least by Tuesday morning. :happy:

I had planned on spending some time in my craft room today but I didn’t. The most productive thing I did all day today was brush the dogs, which oddly enough Sashi is the one who is shedding the most. Usually its Lucy who is losing hair all over the place, not Sash.

I also tried to win a pattern I really wanted on eBay, but I got way outbid at the last second. The same pattern is available from the manufacture for $3.99 though right now, so may just order from there, depending on whether or not the site will work- so far I can’t go through the checkout process at all without an error. Grrr. Probably better this way though because I’m technically broke.

Thursday Day 572 Goals Revisited

Some of you might be familiar with this page- 2013 Yearly Goals. I update it once in a while to reflect how much progress I’m making on different things, and I did that today as it had been a few weeks since I last checked it. Here’s a quick recap of where I stand as of today. Considering its only the beginning of May, and I am over 50% of the way on 7 out of 10, I think I am doing good so far. :wub:

  1. Read 35 books (no re-reads) (21/35 – 60%)
  2. Pay off 50% of my total debt this year. ($506 of $3163 – 16%)
  3. Sew 12 new projects this year (6/12 – 50%)
  4. Vacuum the house once a week (11/18 – 61%)
  5. Make my goal weight (lose total of 100 pounds) (67/100 – 67%)
  6. Workout at least 3 times per week, every week (1/18 – 6%)
  7. Eat 2 servings of fruits or veggies every day (102/128 – 80%)
  8. Cook 26 new recipes this year (13/26 – 50%)
  9. Fit in Mattie’s pants comfortably
  10. Make 5 new loans on Kiva. (4/5 – 80%)
