I know Saturdays are supposed to be the weekly wrap-up day, but I can’t very well give you a weekly wrap-up when I really don’t know what I’ve eaten this week, and its not all for lack of trying, and that’s why this post is not a wrap. After eating out twice this week, we headed over to Beth & Dan’s to hang out with them, Tracy, David, and Tre and Tracy was so wonderful to bring this dip. This stuff is nothing short of an instant artery clogger, and it is insanely, ridiculously, dangerously good. So good that the three of us girls devoured way too much of it before demanding the guys take it away from us. If you don’t believe me just read the recipe. Add in the Del Taco we shared out, the bread the dip was spread on, and the leftover mac n cheese I had for breakfast and I am pretty sure I not only killed what was left of my week, but I annihilated it in one swoop. This has not been my finest week for eating- far from it. But tomorrow is a new week, and I don’t foresee any reasons for me to get seriously off track again, so back to business as usual.
I did do a little around the house today, though not much. I managed to get the laundry done, and I finished and washed my new shirt. I had to wash it before I could wear it because the fabric is a very light cream and blue plain, and during the cutting and pinning phases, Sashi “helped” me by walking all over it with her dirty paws, making it more of a icky brown color, which I did not want to wear as it was. Yuck! Thanks, dog! But now its finished, and I love it. It turned out really well. You can see photos of it here.

Some of you might be familiar with this page- 2013 Yearly Goals. I update it once in a while to reflect how much progress I’m making on different things, and I did that today as it had been a few weeks since I last checked it. Here’s a quick recap of where I stand as of today. Considering its only the beginning of May, and I am over 50% of the way on 7 out of 10, I think I am doing good so far.

Continue reading Thursday Day 572 Goals Revisited
Last week’s Ten Things Tuesday went really, really well! I not only met 8 out of my 10 goals, I came really close to meeting one of the others, and I exceeded some of the ones I did meet.
I was honestly surprised to see I made it through my #5 goal because late last week I went into a manic episode, and I have serious problems in those phases with spending money. I did spend some money, but it wasn’t on my BillMeLater account, and it was money I actually had, so that’s okay. I also didn’t go overboard on my spending, so even though I splurged a bit, I feel good about it.
The two goals I didn’t complete I still made an effort and was actually pretty close on one of them. Here’s the breakdown of what I accomplished.

Today was a small grocery haul Monday. I stocked our freezer so well last month we really id not need any meat, but I grabbed some chicken thighs because they’re hella cheap, and a package of bratwursts because they taste so good (but insanely unhealthy) squeezed out of their casings, crumbled, and cooked with Zatarain’s dirty rice mix. I got ice cream because I had the extra money this week, and its something we eat more of when the weather is warm. Today, however, was not warm. It was rainy, cold, and windy. I pretty much froze my ass off all day today, though because I was holed up in my craft room all day, I really didn’t notice it. I also didn’t notice today that at 6:45pm, I still had not eaten anything at all, and made an “emergency” run to Subway. I was initially planning on going to Jack in the Box, but all of a sudden I thought of Subway and it won out, no contest.
