Monday Day 507 Food Diary

polar03042013Yes, that shot of my Polar HRM may show the lamest workout attempt ever. I literally walked down my street, jogged down two other streets, walked to the next one, jogged two more, and walked the rest of the way home because apparently it being 73° this afternoon was just too hot for me to handle. Seriously. So yeah, almost 15 minutes of walking and jogging and mentally complaining the entire time that I was too hot. I’ve got a bad feeling this summer is going to be brutally hot if its already in the 70′s and we’re barely into March. I’m not looking forward to that at all.

I spent about half of my day cleaning out old files I have backed up elsewhere that I rarely access, running scans, fixing things, and finally am confident my laptop is being its normal, non-never-gonna-boot-again-self. The terror I had last night when it wouldn’t boot at all was bad. We’re talking like I almost had an anxiety attack, this is nearly as bad as getting in a huge fight with my boyfriend bad. I was envisioning my days with no internet access, no money to get the laptop diagnosed or repaired, and my pending internet withdrawals. My life was going to become an insane cycle of sleeping, reading, working out, baking (lots of baking), cooking meals, reading, and some crafting through in here and there to mix it up. I was going to become the biggest patron of our local library, and I was going to cook my way cover to cover through every cookbook I got my hands on.

Thursday Day 503 Food Diary

A new low! This puts February's total loss at 4.4 pounds!

A new low! This puts February’s total loss at 4.4 pounds!

What do we have here boys and girls? A new low weight on the scale this morning! I don’t know if this is due to just eating better the last few days or if it had to do with my workout last night, but it gives me a total loss of 4.4 pounds for February. I wanted to see 5 pounds for this month, but I can try again in March. If you look in my sidebar, you’ll see March’s goals are already up.

  • I want to lose 5 pounds in March
  • I want to lose a total of 9 points off of my BMI
  • I want to lose a total of 60 pounds

These are all attainable goals. None of them are big stretches; they just require me to be diligent, not overeat, not binge, and make good food choices. A little exercise wouldn’t hurt things either. I came so close this month to the 5 pound goal and I really feel I would have made it if it wasn’t for the so-so eating the next to last week followed by a small binge. Of course I went and had a big dinner tonight, so we’ll see what my numbers look like for the official weigh and measuring on Friday morning.

Wednesday Day 502 Food Diary

polar02272013

See who finally went to the gym after how long? And I ran!

Good morning friends! Wednesday started out a really, really lazy day. I did not want to get out of bed, and instead chose to lay in bed, without getting dressed, alternating between reading and staring at the backs of my eyelids. I did eventually get up and had the next to last piece of bread and some coffee for breakfast, and poked around online. I ended up putting on make-up, and heading to my doctor’s appointment a half hour earlier with my book, where I read in the waiting room, and was actually called in earlier because the person before me was a no show.  The appointment went well, and ended with him using his iPhone to look at the correct pronunciation of the word “insatiable”, since it comes form the word “satiety”, which really doesn’t sound much like it. My pronunciation won, by the way. 8)

After that I came home to read a bit more, and eventually Mattie was off work, and more or less on his way home.

Monday Day 437 to Wednesday Day 439

polar12242012So, I have been MIA since Sunday, and for pretty good reason. The Deb here at Deb’s Losing It has been busy, busy, busy! Monday I woke up and did some baking. I made these delicious pumpkin cornbread muffins which I packed up to take out to my mom’s house when we went there for dinner Monday night. I also packed up some of the delicious fudge our friend Tracy made us, and took it out there too. I also went to the gym and did a quick walk/run workout, and later walked the 1.8 miles (round trip) to my doctor’s appointment and home. I probably ate way too much turkey, ham, chocolate covered cherries, and then topped it all off with a slice of key lime pie once we got to my mom’s. We didn’t stay late as the dogs were home waiting for dinner, and Mattie had to work Monday so he was tired. Dinner was good, and we had a nice gift exchange afterwards. Not all the gifts my mom had ordered had come in yet, so I guess we’re still waiting on some things. I had a hell of a time falling asleep because I guess I really am 5 years old when it comes to Christmas.

Tuesday morning I woke up, and annoyed Mattie for about an hour before he elected getting out of bed was easier than listening to me tell him that Santa came… lol. We got up and did our gifts to each other, and I am happy to say he loved the one I was most excited about. Yes, I bought him this: Heavy Metal Fun Time Activity Book and its actually pretty darned cool. It has pages to color, mazes, those things where you draw the second half of the picture, puzzles, everything you’d find a kids’ activity book, but heavy metal themed. I was a little worried he wouldn’t like it but he spent a good 30 minutes looking at it after unwrapping it.
