				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I know Saturdays are supposed to be the weekly wrap-up day, but I can&#8217;t very well give you a weekly wrap-up when I really don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;ve eaten this week, and its not all for lack of trying, and that&#8217;s why this post is not a wrap. After eating out twice this week, we headed over to Beth &amp; Dan&#8217;s to hang out with them, Tracy, David, and Tre and Tracy was so wonderful to bring <a href="http://www.simply-gourmet.com/2012/08/183-jalapeno-popper-dip.html" target="_blank">this dip</a>. This stuff is nothing short of an instant artery clogger, and it is insanely, ridiculously, dangerously good. So good that the three of us girls devoured way too much of it before demanding the guys take it away from us. If you don&#8217;t believe me just read the recipe. Add in the Del Taco we shared out, the bread the dip was spread on, and the leftover mac n cheese I had for breakfast and I am pretty sure I not only killed what was left of my week, but I annihilated it in one swoop. This has not been my finest week for eating- far from it. But tomorrow is a new week, and I don&#8217;t foresee any reasons for me to get seriously off track again, so back to business as usual.</p>
<p>I did do a little around the house today, though not much. I managed to get the laundry done, and I finished and washed my new shirt. I had to wash it before I could wear it because the fabric is a very light cream and blue plain, and during the cutting and pinning phases, Sashi &#8220;helped&#8221; me by walking all over it with her dirty paws, making it more of a icky brown color, which I did not want to wear as it was. Yuck! Thanks, dog! But now its finished, and I love it. It turned out really well. <p>That&#8217;s all I&#8217;ve got for today. Look for an on-track post tomorrow with good food choices and none of this crazy junk that&#8217;s been everywhere this week!</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I know I didn&#8217;t post yesterday, and today you&#8217;re not getting the whole deal either as I&#8217;m just popping in. This week has been pretty disastrous on food, but I know whose fault that is- mine. I had the chance to make very good choices when we went out on Tuesday night, but I decided not to, and just ordered whatever looked good instead. Wednesday I did good, and stayed on track, and actually finished the day under my limits. But Thursday we went out to dinner with Geoff and their mom, and due to issues happening while she was in transit, we didn&#8217;t eat until almost 9pm. By then I said the hell with trying to pick something friendly, and I ordered a big ass burger, fries, and had raspberry iced tea to drink. I honestly didn&#8217;t even try to count Points+ for that meal and didn&#8217;t bother to record it in any way. I know it ate up a huge number of P+ and if I show any loss at all this Sunday I will be shocked, but it won&#8217;t be any mystery why, and I know who is to blame when it happens.</p>
<p>Today wasn&#8217;t much better on food, though I did track and record roughly 40 Points+ for the day. I say roughly because I am guessing at how much cheese I put in the mac n cheese- I neglected to weigh it after I cut it. I did at least get some fruits and veggies in today, with an apricot, a peach, and some broccoli in tonight&#8217;s dinner. I wanted to make something that was both quick, and comforting as Mattie had a long (and rough) day today with having to commute down to LA for something for work, and his ride as passenger was nerve-wracking for him and he came home far from calm and relaxed.</p>

<p>He&#8217;s still got tomorrow and Sunday to ride down there to finish this up, and hopefully after that we will get back to our regular life again. I know after today he is looking forward to having Monday off to recoup after the 4 days at work and 3 days in LA doing stuff <em>for</em> work.</p>
<p>I managed to be at least a little productive today, in the sense that I spent some time working on the shirt I started early last week, vacuumed the house, made Mattie more sun tea, and finished reading one of the slowest books I have ever read. The shirt I am actually insanely close to finished with- I just have to stitch, turn, and thread the waist tie through the casing, and then trim any threads I&#8217;ve still managed to miss. I&#8217;ve yet to try it on, but it does fit my dress form nicely. Tomorrow I will finished it up and throw it in the laundry with the rest of the clothes and then model it and take photos afterward for the sewing blog.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s enough rambling form me though, so here&#8217;s today&#8217;s food diary.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>First off, I re-listed the 15 sewing patterns that did not sell on eBay this afternoon. Check them out <a href="http://www.ebay.com/sch/boerbabe/m.html?_nkw=&amp;_armrs=1&amp;_from=&amp;_ipg=25&amp;_trksid=p3686" target="_blank">here</a>. I did sell 11 of them though, so I feel pretty good about that. All of them have been paid too except from one buyer who bought several, and hopefully they will pay up before I go out tomorrow so I can ship all the rest at once.</p>
<p>I was also talking to a friend online and he was asking me when the last time I went on vacation was. I told him about four years ago, when we drove up to Oregon to visit friends, and he asked how nature was up that way. This is one of the photos I shared with him. I took this one standing at the base of a redwood tree in Northern California, not even a particularly gigantic one, looking up to its top. Amazing, right?</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Food was pretty good today, though I was snacking all day on fruit. We&#8217;re talking like every time I turned around, I was stuffing fruit into my face. I did get a big serving of green beans in at dinner though, so there were <em>some</em> veggies today too. I also spent a whole ten minutes in my craft room cutting the interfacing pieces for my shirt project I cut the fabric for last week. Tomorrow I am planning on doing some sewing on it- I don&#8217;t care how warm it is out there- I am going to get at least half the sewing done on it! I&#8217;d like to have progress photos to post on <a href="http://debsinstitches.com" target="_blank">my sewing blog</a> then.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I also spent a few hours catching up on TV for the week. I watched Castle, New Girl, Mad Men, and a few episodes of Game of Thrones. Some of my normal shows didn&#8217;t air this week, and I&#8217;m not sure if they are on hiatus or what. I&#8217;ll have to look it up tomorrow.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Mattie also finally got his car back today from Subaru- after what seems like forever, its fixed, and now he can stop bitching about not having his car. :D</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Tomorrow night we are going out to dinner with Mattie&#8217;s brother and mom for Mother&#8217;s Day. I still don&#8217;t know where we&#8217;re going so can&#8217;t plan out my meal ahead of time. After yesterday&#8217;s eating disaster, I really need to. I&#8217;m feeling like I will be lucky if at the end of this week I come out still under my limits. Anyway, here&#8217;s today&#8217;s food diary.</p>

We went out to eat this evening for Mattie&#8217;s dad&#8217;s birthday dinner, and on Thursday we&#8217;ll be going out again, this time with his mom for Mother&#8217;s Day. I don&#8217;t know where we&#8217;re going Thursday, but tonight I went way overboard and just in general fucked up on food all day long. As it is, I&#8217;m having one of those days where I feel like food (lots of food) is the answer to everything. I had a good breakfast, but then followed it with junk, followed by fruit (partially dressed as junk) followed by a huge dinner that started with appetizers and ended with a huge burger and a side salad. Its been hours since we ate, and honestly all I can think about is eating something else, even though I&#8217;m pretty sure I&#8217;ll be sick if I do. Its just one of <em>those</em> days. :(</p>

<p>I&#8217;m going to give you the recap on last week&#8217;s Ten Things Tuesday, and say the hell with making a new one for this week. I don&#8217;t feel like thinking up one right now, and after looking at how badly I did on this week&#8217;s, I&#8217;m not feeling all that motivated. Here&#8217;s last week&#8217;s Ten Things Tuesday.</p>
<ol>
<li>Lose 1.5 pounds. <strong>Nope. If anything the scale is up a bit. </strong></li>
<li>Vacuum the house at least once. <strong>Done! I even vacuumed my craft room out back.<br />
</strong></li>
<li>Have at least 30 of my weeklies left at the end of the week. <strong>Nope. Not even close. I ended last week with 1 P+ left over.<br />
</strong></li>
<li>Read 100 pages of <em>Don’t Panic</em>. <strong>Done! I actually read more than that and am finally almost done with the book.<br />
</strong></li>
<li>Don’t charge anything to my BillMeLater account. <strong>Nope. I failed on this one on Monday night by renewing my membership with Club BMV, and ordering some new patterns from Simplicity. The good thing is I got some survey pay outs so I can mostly pay that off in the next week. </strong></li>
<li>Finish sewing Simplicity 2365 view C plus one other project. <strong>Nope. I got as far as cutting S2365 and stalled. My only excuse is the weather has been crazy hot and my craft room turns into an oven.</strong></li>

<p>What is that, 4 ½ out of 10? Not very good. I feel like #1 would have happened if I hadn&#8217;t used all of my weeklies at the very end of last week, and I really could have made the tiny effort to do #10- how hard is it to find a recipe to try and then cook it? <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-content/plugins/smilies-themer/Nomicons v2.0/blink.png' alt=':blink:' class='wp-smiley' /> 6 ½ out of 10 would have made me feel a lot better, and if I hadn&#8217;t spent the money on patterns/Club BMV, I&#8217;d have made 7 ½ out of 10.</p>
<p>Anyway, enough of that. As I said, we went out to dinner tonight and I went way overboard. I went there with a plan. I researched the menu ahead of time. I made notes of what to order. But by the time we finally got there to actually eat I was so hungry I just threw my plan out the window and split an appetizer of wings &amp; kettle chips with Mattie. Then instead of the Garden burger or a salad, I ordered a burger covered in all sorts of crap, and the only semi-healthy choices I made all night were trading my fries for a side salad, and drinking water instead of something else. I also desperately wanted a peach shake, but I was glad at the end of dinner I didn&#8217;t order one because I honestly had too much food already. The sad thing was my burger wasn&#8217;t even <em>that</em> good. According to the menu, it was supposed to be pretty spicy- jalapenos, salsa, cayenne pepper, pepper jack cheese&#8230; Instead it was just a typical burger. No heat whatsoever. I was anticipating a runny nose or at least many refills of my water glass, but nope, nothing. Just a plain old burger. <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-content/plugins/smilies-themer/Nomicons v2.0/ermm.png' alt=':ermm:' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I tallied up my points as well as I could, but the appetizer we shared wasn&#8217;t on the menu online, so I just had to take similar items and guess a bit. Either way, it wasn&#8217;t good. Here&#8217;s today&#8217;s food diary.</p>

<p>I also realized partway through dinner I had forgotten to pick up my meds from the pharmacy, so only had a half dose of one left for tonight and none of the other. That&#8217;s probably going to mean I won&#8217;t sleep well as the one I only had a half dose of really helps put me down for the night.</p>
<p>Right now the plan is to finish this bottle of water and try to get some sleep. I&#8217;ll see you all tomorrow, hopefully with a much better food report.</p>

<p>I didn&#8217;t want to buy two cases of water, but the weather has been hot- really hot. It was 99* today and we were dying, and as a result, drinking a lot of water. Its a necessity because I don&#8217;t trust the tap water- who knows what chemicals they treat it with, and it tastes funny to me anyway. We have a filter pitcher but I can&#8217;t make myself believe it does much of anything for the water.</p>

<p>I had a sudden need for those burritos. I eat food you heat in the microwave less often than we eat out, but today I <em>needed</em> those things. I&#8217;m pretty sure the scale will be down quite a bit in the morning though, or at least by Tuesday morning. <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-content/plugins/smilies-themer/Nomicons v2.0/happy.png' alt=':happy:' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I had planned on spending some time in my craft room today but I didn&#8217;t. The most productive thing I did all day today was brush the dogs, which oddly enough Sashi is the one who is shedding the most. Usually its Lucy who is losing hair all over the place, not Sash.</p>
<p>I also tried to win a pattern I really wanted on eBay, but I got way outbid at the last second. The same pattern is available from the manufacture for $3.99 though right now, so may just order from there, depending on whether or not the site will work- so far I can&#8217;t go through the checkout process at all without an error. Grrr. Probably better this way though because I&#8217;m technically broke.</p>

<p>Food was good today. I ate for the most part what I wanted to today, and stayed within my limits, even with ice cream for dessert. I&#8217;m proud of my eating today, especially when compared to the last two days. That I was not proud of at all. Here&#8217;s today&#8217;s food diary.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m also really considering just doing my weigh and measure days at the start of the month and that&#8217;s it. I step on the scale often enough to see if things are going in the right direction, but honestly, do I need to report the details every week? For things like my measurements, doing them once a month would probably be more gratifying as there will actually be a noticeable difference from one month to the next.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve got a doctor&#8217;s appointment tomorrow to get a new birth control pill Rx, which is irritating because when I first started going to this clinic years ago, they would give me a full year&#8217;s worth at a time. Now I am getting 2 months before I have to go back and get a new Rx, which if you ask me, is a waste of everyone&#8217;s time. I mean come on! At least give me an Rx for six months&#8217; worth!</p>

I also ate a lot of other crap today, and I basically used all of my weeklies over these two days. I have 1 Point+ left over at the end of this week. I did track everything though, and I know exactly what kind of damages I did.</p>

Either way, I am not expecting a great weigh in tomorrow, but I was really good almost all week up until today and yesterday.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Some of you might be familiar with this page- <a href="http://debslosingit.com/2013-yearly-goals/" target="_blank">2013 Yearly Goals</a>. I update it once in a while to reflect how much progress I&#8217;m making on different things, and I did that today as it had been a few weeks since I last checked it. Here&#8217;s a quick recap of where I stand as of today. Considering its only the beginning of May, and I am over 50% of the way on 7 out of 10, I think I am doing good so far. <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-content/plugins/smilies-themer/Nomicons v2.0/wub.png' alt=':wub:' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<ol>
<li>Read 35 books (no re-reads) (21/35 – 60%)</li>
<li>Pay off 50% of my total debt this year. ($506 of $3163 – 16%)</li>
<li>Sew 12 new projects this year (6/12 – 50%)</li>
<li>Vacuum the house once a week (11/18 – 61%)</li>
<li>Make my goal weight (lose total of 100 pounds) (67/100 – 67%)</li>
<li>Workout at least 3 times per week, every week (1/18 – 6%)</li>
<li>Eat 2 servings of fruits or veggies every day (102/128 &#8211; 80%)</li>
<li>Cook 26 new recipes this year (13/26 – 50%)</li>
<li>Fit in Mattie’s pants comfortably</li>
<li>Make 5 new loans on Kiva. (4/5 – 80%)</li>

<p>I&#8217;m really, really pleased with my progress! I would like to be a lot further along on my #2 goal, but I have made some progress, so not as bad as it could be. The #6 pretty flew the coup early on. I need to work on that one.</p>
<p>The scale was down a bit today for a new low for me- 183.3. Yay! <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-content/plugins/smilies-themer/Nomicons v2.0/grin.png' alt=':biggrin:' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I spent some time in the back room today doing a little sewing, but not much. I started re-assembling the apron I decimated yesterday, and while its basically put together as per the directions, there&#8217;s still a little more to be done. Mostly I think I just spent too much time on the computer waiting for my mom to stop by so we could activate her phone ad I could get some things she printed for me from her. That ended up being a huge hassle, and she spent over an hour on the phone with them trying to get it done. Tomorrow I am going to try to finish up the apron and hopefully do a little work on the shirt I started.</p>
<p>Food today was pretty good. I ate about a million of those little apricot hybrids I feel like, but they are so good and we have so many of them. Aside from the ice cream sandwich I did eat pretty well today. My salad was a little iffy as I put a lot of dressing on it, but it was so good too. <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-content/plugins/smilies-themer/Nomicons v2.0/sideways.png' alt=':sideways:' class='wp-smiley' /> Here&#8217;s today&#8217;s food diary.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today was another day of me getting wrapped up in things and forgetting to really eat until dinner time, and oddly enough, I didn&#8217;t really do anything today. The food diary is good as far as points go, but bad because I basically starved all day then ate everything. My mind just was not on food until about 3:45pm and then it was nearly dinnertime. I literally had coffee and 3 apriums until we had dinner. No good. After we ate dinner, my stomach was still clamoring for more food, and I had an apple, and then my breakfast cottage cheese. I felt a bit better after that, but once again I am reminding myself to actually eat breakfast tomorrow.</p>
<p>While Mattie was at work today, I watched the last episodes of my shows (Bomb Girls, Castle, Grey&#8217;s Anatomy, Mad Men, and New Girl) and then was back in my craft room for a little while. You can see what I did back there today in my <a href="http://debslosingit.com/stitches/" target="_blank">sewing blog</a>. I also sent a message to my friend Donna via her blog to ask if she&#8217;s like some more of my scraps again. Hopefully that will be a yes and I can pack her up a box full again. :)</p>
<p>I also listed a bunch of sewing patterns on eBay today, and was lucky enough to have two of them sell right away. I&#8217;m hoping at least half of them will sell, but who knows. <p>There&#8217;s not a lot to say about today. This evening I got to go outside and run off some kids who were playing football in our yard- right up at the front of the house. Aside from the obvious rudeness of playing in someone&#8217;s yard without asking (I have no idea who these kids even were), they were also driving the dogs crazy, and their throws of the ball were so wild I was afraid one of them would break one of our windows. I swear some kids now have no respect for anything. I never would have played in a stranger&#8217;s yard as a kid, especially not without asking if it was okay first. <img src='http://debslosingit.com/wp-content/plugins/smilies-themer/Nomicons v2.0/angry.png' alt=':angry:' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I got an ironing board in the mail today, but it was not the one I ordered. I got sent a shirt sleeve board, which doesn&#8217;t help me at all, so tomorrow afternoon it will be going back in the mail to Amazon. I have a replacement order for the right item waiting, but its on back order for several weeks so I may just cancel it instead. Still undecided. I kinda want to get a refund and spend the money on fabrics&#8230; lol.</p>

I not only met 8 out of my 10 goals, I came really close to meeting one of the others, and I exceeded some of the ones I did meet.</p>
<p>I was honestly surprised to see I made it through my #5 goal because late last week I went into a manic episode, and I have serious problems in those phases with spending money. I did spend some money, but it wasn&#8217;t on my BillMeLater account, and it was money I actually had, so that&#8217;s okay. I also didn&#8217;t go overboard on my spending, so even though I splurged a bit, I feel good about it.</p>
<p>The two goals I didn&#8217;t complete I still made an effort and was actually pretty close on one of them. Here&#8217;s the breakdown of what I accomplished.</p>

<ol>
<li>Lose 1.5 pounds. <strong>Done! 1.6 pounds!</strong></li>
<li>Vacuum the house at least once. <strong>Done! And I vacuumed the craft room several times.<br />
</strong></li>
<li>Have at least 30 of my weeklies left at the end of the week. <strong>Nope&#8230; I had 24 left.</strong></li>
<li>Finish <em>Alone Together</em>.<strong> Done!</strong></li>
<li>Don’t charge anything to my BillMeLater account. <strong>Done!</strong></li>
<li>Cut out the pattern for Vogue 1235 that I am going to sew. <strong>Done! I finished it plus three other dresses, and a vest!<br />
</strong></li>
<li>Give Lucy at least one good brushing.<strong> Done!</strong></li>
<li>Pay my Etsy.com fees. <strong>Done!</strong></li>
<li>Add 10 new things to my <a href="http://kittyloafdesigns.com/shop/" target="_blank">shop</a>. <strong>Nope&#8230; (5/10)</strong></li>
<li>Make three new things. <strong>Done! (7/3) (4 new dresses, 2 bracelets, 1 vest)<br />

</ol>
<p>Here&#8217;s this week&#8217;s Ten Things Tuesday.</p>
<ol>

<li>Read 100 pages of <em>Don&#8217;t Panic</em>.</li>

<li>Finish sewing Simplicity 2365 view C plus one other project.</li>
<li>Brush Lucy at least once.</li>
<li>Make three new things.</li>
<li>Decide whether or not to go through with seeing the nutritionist.</li>
<li>Cook one new recipe.</li>
</ol>
<p>I don&#8217;t have a lot to say about today. I cut the pattern pieces out for a shirt I will be making next, and I went online and ordered a new dress form. I had to shuffle some money around to do it, but I managed, and I should still have enough next month to take Mattie out for his birthday. Food was pretty good today, and I remembered to eat breakfast, unlike yesterday where all I had was a sandwich for dinner at 7pm. Tomorrow I am hoping to put in some time in my craft room early in the day, and spend the afternoon catching up on my TV watching for the week.</p>
<p>I did find out who and why I have an appointment with a nutritionist. The hospital told me that Tarzana made the referral, and when I called Tarzana, they told me they now refer everyone with a BMI of over 30 to the nutritionist. Okay, great, so on January 17th you referred me to the nutritionist based on my weight in August&#8230; I&#8217;ve lost 30 more pounds since then, and my BMI is at 28 even as of this morning. I have no idea if I should go or not.</p>
<p>Nothing else to say, so here&#8217;s today&#8217;s food diary.</p>
